The therapy is structured in such a way that four patients exercise simultaneously on movement trainers that are connected to a computer. The devices can be used as arm or leg trainers and the level of difficulty can be individually adapted to each patient so that even severely affected patients are able to take part in the training.

Many stretching exercises can be performed with the THERA-Trainer standing & balancing devices, especially for severely affected patients. Stretches in the sense of neurotension (whole chains in connection with trunk posture) are better than isolated stretches. These interlinked stretches should be used more often.
