Felix Platter Hospital relies on state-of-the-art methods not only in diagnostics, but also in therapy. For almost two years, the end-effector gait trainer lyra has been used in gait rehabilitation, allowing therapists and patients to benefit from the advantages of modern gait rehabilitation robotics.

Robot-assisted training has been a domain of gait rehabilitation for some time. It has to be said: the technology has no value in itself for rehabilitation. But for therapists and patients, it would be much more costly to achieve the same result with conventional therapy.

The THERA-Trainer has been a faithful piece of training equipment from the start of my wheelchair career. My first encounter with it was in hospital. I then had it prescribed so that I could also train at home.

The THERA-Trainer tigo is used in particular for patients with hemiparesis, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, knee/hip prostheses and patients with general weakness and cardiovascular problems. Targeted regular treatments can be positively supplemented by the THERA-Trainer.

I can only advise those who have similar illnesses to also get a THERA-Trainer.
